Happy One Month Anniversary, Katie & Chris!

Thanks for sharing your story with us,
and giving us the opportunity to take your engagement portraits!

We wish you all the best!

READ THEIR STORY HERE:

Chris and Katie met while both working a second job at Jos A Bank.
Katie started this job several months before they met as they were not scheduled to work the same shift. When they finally met there was a slight attraction to each other, but a relationship did not immediately start. They spent the next several months enjoying each other’s company while working together. During this time they learned about their many similarities and interests, such as being church musicians, their enjoyment of camping, and their sense of humor in many things.

When the timing was right, Chris finally asked Katie out on a date, which was basically getting a beer after work as each of them had little time from working seven days a week. One date led to another and they each realized they were with someone special. As a somewhat over protective parent, Chris felt that it was time to tell his kids that he was dating and to introduce them to Katie.
Although everyone was a little nervous,
their evening with dinner and board games was enjoyable for all.

About a year later, Chris knew it was time to make the relationship permanent, but had to resolve a pressing issue: what kind of ring to buy?
(Katie is highly allergic to certain metals)
In his creative and subtle way he asked her what she was allergic to,
“What metals are you allergic to?”
He was sure he got his answer without her knowing…not really!
After thorough research and visiting many jewelry stores, he found the perfect ring.
He then got “permission” from each of his children who enthusiastically agreed.
His youngest daughter even gave some advice on how to propose.

On Christmas morning when they were alone
and had just finished exchanging gifts, Chris said that there was one more gift.
He went to the piano bench and pulled out the box with the ring.
He knew that his pianist fiancee would not look there…thankfully.
After some gushy words and a few tears,
Katie accepted the proposal
and the rest is yet to be written….
