Get Behind Our Lens!

The 16th Street Bridge

I absolutely love the bridges in Pittsburgh, PA. I travel over the 16th Street Bridge once a week, so I thought I’d photograph it. This morning, it was covered in snow. The sky was so grey, and the air freezing cold. The weather and light qualities heighten the romance of these photographic images. I love the artistry of the globes with the frenzied horses hovering above the trusses. The rough hewn stone against the steel beams is a magnificent use of texture and architectural design. I enjoyed translating one of the photographs into a painting.
